You are most-cordially invited to attend the first Pops Concert for the Central Kentucky Concert Band’s 2011 summer season. The concert shall take place at the UK Arboretum at 7:00 PM, Saturday, June 25. The program will feature works by Beethoven, Sousa, Fillmore, de Haan and others. Special soloists will be Peter Pickett, trumpet and Charlie Kahn, alto saxophone. Several selections of Americana will also be featured. The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Arboretum and coordinated by Ms. Marcia Farris. Bring a blanket and enjoy fine band music in a relaxed, informal setting. Thanks and Thanks.
