Double-Double Toil and Trouble

The Double-Double Toil and Trouble Concert will feature several masterworks including “Dream of a Witches’ Sabbath” from the Symphonie Fantastique [Berlioz], “The Witches’ Sabbath” from Le Villi [Puccini], “Cauldron” [Boerma], “October” [Whitacre], “Incantation and Dance” [Chance] and the “Hut of Baba-Yaga” and the “Great Gate of Kiev” from Pictures at an Exhibition [Mussorgsky].

Under the baton of Mr. Greg Daugherty, Director of the Rockcastle County High School Band, the combined CKCB and RCHS bands will perform “Waltzing Wicked Witches” and “Selections from Wicked”.

This concert is the first of the “Of Myths and Magic” 2011-2012 performance season. Peter LaRue serves as the Music Director and Conductor of the Central Kentucky Concert Band.
