Our Central Kentucky Concert Band has the great privilege and pleasure of being a part of the extraordinary 2012 Great American Brass Band Festival. The GABBF will take place from June 8-10 in Danville [KY]. This year’s GABBF is dedicated to Vince DiMartino, internationally-acclaimed trumpet artist and co-founder of the GABBF and is subtitled … TRUMPETISSIMO. Our CKCB will be featured on the Main Stage at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 9. Our Featured Soloists for this special GABBF concert will be John Bryant, Trumpet and Dick Cryder, Trombone. On Sunday, June 10, members of the CKCB will be part of the Grand Finale-Massed Bands [4:00 PM, Newlin Hall, Norton Center]. Special Guest Artists for the Grand Finale include [among others] Allen Vizzutti, Jens Lindeman and Doc Severinsen! We hope to see you there.
