You are most-cordially invited to attend two upcoming performances by the Central Kentucky Concert Band – as part of our 2012 Summer Pops Series [aka SPS].
The first concert shall take place at the beautiful UK Arboretum at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 30 and is sponsored by the Friends of the Arboretum and coordinated by Ms. Marcia Farris. On Sunday, July 1, the CKCB will be performing at the Wallis Home and Arboretum in Paris. The concert will start at 7:00 PM and is sponsored by the Gardens Clubs of Bourbon County and is coordinated by Ms. Judy Ferrell.
The programs will feature works by Sousa, Fillmore, Gershwin, Wyntin and many others. Musical highlights will include a Broadway classic, a nod to the Big Band Era, Americana and other beloved patriotic tunes.
Bring a friend, bring a blanket and enjoy fine band music in relaxed, informal settings. Thanks and Thanks. Hope to see you there.
