You Are Most-Cordially Invited

On behalf of the Central Kentucky Concert Band I would like to most-cordially invite you to a special performance that will take place next Sunday, November 10, at 2:00 PM, at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington.

The concert “CKCB Showcase at the Cathedral” will feature chamber ensembles performing works by Bach, Brahms, Frescobaldi, Haydn, Holst, Victoria and others. Ensembles featured will be the CKCB … Brass Choir, Saxophone Quartet, Flute Choir, Euphonium Quintet, Clarinet Choir and Brass Quintet. The concert will close with the fabulous “Grand Choeur Dialogue” by Eugene Gigout featuring Brian Hunt at the Cathedral Organ with the CKCB Brass Quintet.

This concert is part of the “CTK Concert Series” and we are honored to again have the privilege and pleasure to perform at the Cathedral. Mr. Robert Whitaker and Mr. Brian Hunt are the Coordinators for the series and the Cathedral is on 299 Colony Blvd, Lexington, KY 40502. There is no admission charge. We hope to see you there.

The Central Kentucky Concert Band, now in its 37th year, is widely recognized as the premier, adult concert band in the Commonwealth, as well as one of the finest ensembles of its nature in the southeastern United States. Since 1994, Peter LaRue has served as the Music Director and Conductor of the CKCB. Mr. Les Anderson is the Assistant Conductor and Dr. Lee Patrick serves as Chair of the Executive Board. The CKCB has benefited historically from the support of the Kentucky Arts Council, LexArts, the Scott County Council of the Arts, Georgetown College, Asbury College, Transylvania University and the Opera House Fund.
