30 Oct

The Central Kentucky Concert Band is performing a concert this week in Kentucky’s Capital City–Frankfort. Come hear the band perform at Bradford Hall on historic Kentucky State University’s campus at 7 PM on Thursday, November 3rd. The band is pleased to be presenting this free concert in partnership with the Frankfort Arts Foundation and Kentucky State University.

Among other dynamic selections, the band will feature W. Francis McBeth’s emotionally-charged Of Sailors and Whales–a musical setting of Melville’s American novel masterpiece Moby Dick, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific–perhaps one of the most-loved musicals of the 20th Century.

There are many attractions that can be seen before the concert, such as the New State Capitol Building, Rebecca Ruth Candies, the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, and many, many others. There are also great places to eat before or after the concert. Just don’t be late for the concert!
